a sense of belonging that allows young people to gain the courage, motivation, self-confidence
and determination to dream big, make plans and take responsible action for their futures.

become empowered with tools that ensure achievement and a vision of
success in their lives.

About the Founder

Steve Sanders was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where he attended
East High School. He played football for East High’s historic Blue Bombers
and graduated from the school’s Academy of Finance. Steve continued his
education at Bowling Green State University where he also played football and
finished with impressive career stats of 156 receptions for 2,324 yards and 24
touchdowns. This success led Sanders to play wide receiver in the NFL for his
hometown, the Cleveland Browns, during the 2006-2008 seasons. He currently plays in the UFL for the New York Sentinels.

In addition to his professional football background, Steve Sanders created My H.O.O.D. (Helping Others Organize Dreams) in 2008 as part of his life commitment to directly impacting young people, in particular those that share his experiences of growing up in the inner city. Sanders relates to and understands the is sues our youth face, especially the trials and tribulations that they must overcome daily. His professional athletic status attracts young people, affording him opportunities to speak to them and influence positive transformation in their lives.
